History[edit]
Abruzzi Planetary Militia was the Militia unit assigned to defend Abruzzi.
In early 3145 they were being supplemented by the mercenary unit Holly's Hollanders, when a task force from the Capellan Hussars struck the world in a recon raid. The mercenaries were to be the anvil of the Militia as the Militia's Colonel hoped his tanks would be enough to force the Liaos into retreating.
When the militia did, Holly's Hollanders discovered that a dozen thirty-five ton 'Mechs, even firing from cover, could be an anvil for more than two dozen medium and heavy Capellan Confederation 'Mechs. The Hollanders were eradicated in a little less than two minutes of combat.[1]
