History

Clans

A member of the Clans and a Bloodnamed warrior of the Ward Bloodhouse, Alex was dishonored beyond redemption by his gambling habit, including losses to lower castes. He therefore jumped at the opportunity to join the Dragoons in the Inner Sphere and start anew, with whom he was with Natasha Kerensky, one of the few Bloodnamed Dragoons.[1]

Wolf's Dragoons

Even a change of environment that dramatic did not however free him from his addiction, and once with the Dragoons he remained a known gambler, who became severely indebted to his battalion commander.[1][2]

He voluntarily joined the Black Widow Company after New Delos, expecting that the unit with the highest combat bonus would help him pay his debts, which otherwise would have ended in his disgrace and exile,[2] and had participated in all of its actions up through 3025.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

Over the years, he earned and lost fortunes many times over, and remained in debt. Natasha Kerensky protected him from his creditors, and he returned her consideration with loyalty and courage in battle.[2]

Ward was killed 19 May 3027 by Federated Suns forces before the Black Widow Company could depart the world with the Bounty Hunter.[1][12]

BattleMech

Alex Ward was known to have piloted a STG-3R Stinger BattleMech.[1][2]
