Description
The Bruin is a Clan Ghost Bear BattleMech produced at its Bergan Industries factory on Alshain. The 'Mech began deployment in 3086, where conception was to help unify and bolster its Inner Sphere economy which continued integrate it the Clan.
The Bruin was designed by Bergen-C team, they designed the 'mech with mobility and for psychological impact of its size.
Armaments and Capacities
The Bruin long-range firepower includes right arm mounted Omega 12-coil Gauss Rifle and center torso mounted Type X “Short Bow” LRM 10 Launcher. These two weapons give the 'mech far reach hitting power, giving 'Mech ability to penetrate an opponent's armor and damaging its interior equipment.
For its intermediate and short range brackets, the 'Mech is armed with Clan Kolibri Delta Series Large Pulse Laser, ER Medium Laser mounted in each and pair of Streak SRM 4 Launchers found each side torso.
To manage the 'Mech heat, its has been given 14 Clan tech Double Heat Sinks. While its hull its protected by 15 tons of standard Clan armor with integrated CASE.
The 'Mech 320 rated Extra Light Fusion Engine allows the 'mech to achieve respectable running 64 kph. To enhance its movement, specially in tough terrain, it has fitted with Jump Jets mounted in the legs.[2]
Variants
- Bruin 2 - This variant was designed used learning the lesson learned from liberation of Terra from the Word of Blake. The Bruin 2 drops the Gauss Rifle and both Medium Lasers for 4 Large Pulse Lasers and some Ultra Class 5 Autocannon. A standard SRM 2 Launcher was added in the intentions using with inferno SRM missiles. To augment the 'Mech ability to handle infantry, it has been given Machine Guns. BV (2.0) = ????[3]
