The following represents a classification system for cartography pages and categories within the BattleTech Wiki. Terms in bold denotes a category. The definition for each category is given in brackets.

• Category:Stellar Cartography[Metacategory for various items at the stellar cartography level including star maps and maps of planetary systems, but distinct from planetary cartography.]

  • Category:Systems without coordinates (should this be a subcategory of systems?)

Note: This is a category-based or classification-based tree rather than a location-based tree. Subitems are subcategories of their parent item. For example the 'categories' Systems and Planets are both subcategories of Stellar Cartography, even though a planet (the object proper) belong to a specific system.
