History

The Divine Shield was a Duat-class DropShip, serving with Malcolm Buhl's reformed Com Guards as of 3141.

When the Republic of the Sphere discovered the hidden ComStar base on Epsilon Eridani and sent troops to eradicate them, the desperate defenders called on their hidden DropShips, namely the Divine Shield and its sister ships Sword of Focht and Faith's Blessing, to provide artillery support with their cruise missiles. They did to good effect, but in doing so revealed their position. The ships were destroyed by Republic counterbattery fire, trapping the doomed Com Guards on Epsilon Eridani where they would soon be eradicated.[1]
