Felix Jarta was a Capellan Confederation MechWarrior, with Warrior House Hiritsu, during the Dark Age Era.[1][2]

Personal Appearance

Jarta was a portly man, with brown unkempt hair and scruffy beard, together with hazel eyes. While some considered his appearance a sign of sloth and poor discipline, he was actually a gifted MechWarrior.[2]

History

Pre Fortress Republic

Jarta had a keen mind and quick reflexes, granting him excellent tactical and battlefield skills. He was also a student of science and philosophy, and when off-duty, he could often he found either helping technical staff or pursuing his own studies.

Rising through the ranks quickly, by 3133 he commanded a Company within Warrior House Hiritsu. Despite having an excellent reputation with the senior leadership of his Warrior House, he generally demonstrated more humility than ambition.[2]

He did however have at least one near death experience, nearly being killed in combat, before being covered by his younger lancemate Hyu-Youn Cho as he was evacuated from the battlefield.[3]

Battle for Ningpo

In August 3135, Jarta was part of the Capellan force which assaulted the world of Ningo, fighting against the defending Republic of the Sphere forces. During the battle, he faced off against Triarii Protectors MechWarrior Irena Borjon in her Locust 'Mech, in the Yuan Forest near Ningbo.[4]

Post Fortress Republic

Following the creation of Fortress Republic in 3135, Jarta participated in the reclamation of former Republic of the Sphere worlds for House Liao, as the Republic retreated to their Prefecture X. During this period Jarta's studies suffered, as much more of his time was required to be spend on combat operations.[1]

BattleMech

Jarta was known to have initially piloted a Ghost BattleTech, nicknamed "Enlightened Spirit". This 'Mech, serial number LC113-41B, was initially build for the Lyran Commonwealth before being captured by the Fighting Intellectuals mercenary unit while in the employ of the Draconis Combine. In a later battle, it was lost by the Fighting Intellectuals to Jarta during an engagement on Teng, with him delivering the final blow during single combat.[2]

After this Ghost was destroyed during fighting on Gan Singh, Jarta received a CTR-DC-M Centurion BattleMech, which he eventually nicknamed "Ascension".[1]
