Finnegan Cochrane was the Planetary Legate of Northwind, for the Republic of the Sphere, from at least 3130 until his death in February 3134.[2][3]

In January 3134, Legate Cochrane started his New Year by reviewing his troops as part of a traditional parade in the city of Tara, who included in this edition of the parade Paladin Ezekiel Crow and Countess Tara Campbell.[4] By February 3134 however he was dead, losing his life defending Tara from the Steel Wolves invasion of Northwind. On the authority of Tara Campbell, he was replaced as Legate by Michael Griffin.[1]

- Cochrane is noted as Governor rather than Legate in one source,[2] swapped with the individual otherwise named as Governor by other sources.[3] As the Dark Age: Republic Worlds (3130) listing of Republican planetary governors and legates is generally relied upon by other canon sources such as Dark Age: 3132-3134 INN over the one in Dark Age: Republic of the Sphere its information has similarly been preferred as correct for the purposes of this article.
