The Nowaki was a Merchant-class JumpShip serving with the Draconis Combine's Seventh Ghost Regiment as of 3150.

History[edit]

The Nowaki was part of the invasion force that struck Emporia, jumping to the system's nadir jump point shortly before midnight on 3 April 3150.[1] It pretended through its IFF signal to be a trader from the Federated Suns carrying a Mule-class cargo DropShip. In truth, it carried and deployed the Shinyo, a Rose-class combat vessel. [2]

By chance, another cargo vessel bound for Emporia—the Whatever It Takes—passed within sight of the Nowaki and realized the JumpShip was not what it pretended to be.[1] However, the defenders on Emporia considered the captain of the Whatever It Takes a dubious source of information and remained unsure whether or not to believe him.
