Description

The Phoenix Hawk L is a Light BattleMech, produced originally for the Draconis Combine at dawn of the 32nd Century. It was modeled to resemble Crosby's old and remodeled Phoenix Hawk which they had first produced in the 3060s. The 'Mech was Crosby BattleMechs Research Firm's their bid to offer a replacement to the venerable Panther BattleMech after Second Combine-Dominion War. Alternately known as the Fenikkusu Taka, the 'Mech retains movement profile of its heavy predecessor.

The Fenikkusu Taka qualities would be popular with recon & fast combined-arms units.[2]

Armament & Capacities

The 'Mech principally most prominent weapon the Tight-Stream Electromagnetic Pulse cannon, which enable itself to be potentially disable its opponents. It’s backed up by Shigunga 3-Tube Multi-Missile Launcher & single Victory 23E ER Medium Laser. In support role for infantry, the 'Mech carries three Heavy Machine Guns.

The Fenikkusu Taka is powered by GM 210-Rated Extra-Light Fusion Engine, giving enough speed to keep up with it most Combat Vehicles. The 'Mech hull is protected by 6.5 tons of standard armor and CASE found in left torso. Like its remodeled predecessor, the 'Mech has a Full-Head Ejection System for safety of the pilot.[3]

Variants

  • PXH-11K2 - Heavily armed version of the PH-11K, produced during the Combine's invasion of the Federated Suns. The 'Mech swaps out the TSEMP for a Snub-Nose PPC with a PPC Capacitor. While retaining the MML-3, the 'Mech's Heavy Machines are dropped in favor adding second ER Medium Laser in right arm actuator.[4]

Notes

The Phoenix Hawk L was originally created by WizKids' MechWarrior Dark Age Collectable Miniatures game as the "Phoenix Hawk I".

The Phoenix Hawk L has the following Design Quirks:
