Description & History
As Jasmine Liao
The Quicksilver Mongoose was a modified Du Shi Wang Class Battleship, that was originally build by Capellan Confederation and named originally as Jasmine Liao. The ship was captured by the Star League prior to SLDF's Liberation of Terra. It became part of General Aleksandr Kerensky's Exodus Fleet in 2784.
In Service of Clan Mongoose
After the formation of the Clans in the Pentagon Worlds, the ship became part of Clan Mongoose's WarShip fleet. Renamed the 'Quicksilver Mongoose, it was rebuilt with Clan technology and made into the flagship of their fleet. In Clan's Trial of Absorption in 2868, the ship's most noted action was against Clan Smoke Jaguar fleet around Circe. The Quicksilver able to conduct a crippling attack against the Jaguar Flagship, the Obsidian. This ship's would been its finest movement, as struggle above the black space around skies of Circe final turn for Mongoose's favor. However, Jaguar Destroyer, Storm Cat, managed to cripple the Quicksilver Mongoose shortly after its successful attack. Was battered and leaking atmosphere as rest of the Mongoose fleet stuggled maintain momentum it and its crew had given them. However, remaining four Warships of its cruiser sized fleet surrendered to victorious Smoke Jaguar.[2]
Clan Smoke Jaguars and Beyond
After the Smoke Jaguar's absorption of the Mongooses, the ship was placed into mothballs in Strana Mechty system by the Jaguars. Prior to losing contact with Inner Sphere, the ship was known to still be there.[3]
Armaments & Capacities
Clan Mongoose had refitted with Clan technologies, increasing ancient design's firepower. The designers began with doubling the ship's front arc capital weaponry now with eight Heavy & four Medium grade Naval PPCs on its bow. On its sides, the ship's Class 45 Naval Lasers were augemented by pair of Light Naval PPCs per arc, while added few more NLs per arch. Ship's aft remain same with its pair of Medium Naval PPCs.
The designers added standard weaponry to increase the ship's self-defense abilities against smaller Aerospace fighter attack. Giving sets of Large & Small Pulse Lasers in all its arcs.
The ship fighter compliment of Aerospace Fighters were increased 5 Stars.
To manage the ship's addititional weaponry's heat, the ship 2,100 single heatsinks were swapped for 2,700 double heatsinks.

Ship Notes
As of this writing, its unclear what type of armor the ship employs due to Record Sheet from Era Report: Golden Century not elaborating on what specific armor it carries.
