The Samantha was a Fury-class DropShip, owned by minor Acamar-based noble house House Brynd as of 3067.

History[edit]

House Brynd used the DropShip together with their single Scout-class JumpShip, the Daniel Brynd.

The Samantha was, as of 3067, a decommissioned and obsolete variant of the Fury-class. It had a 500-ton cargo bay, eight light vehicle bays and passenger quarters for eighty people in addition to the crew. The ship's LRMs had been removed in favor of additional cargo space.[1]

The Samantha's crew included the ship's captain, Vincent Durant, as well as its first mate Walton Stanton.[2] Stanton was a covert agent in the employ of House Stevens, and he hired Communications Tech Errol Malveneri who covertly worked for House Langdon, with the intent of using him as the fall guy when Stanton sabotaged the Samantha.[3]
