This system appears only on one map in Handbook: Major Periphery States and was a part of the Blommestein Province within the Outworlds Alliance as of 2750.[1]

By 3061 it was still inhabited, although apparently as an independent periphery world. In or shortly before 3061, an industrial spill at a solar panel manufacturing plant poisoned Sorsk's potable water reserves. When nearby systems would not sell water at reasonable prices a mixed company of the Sorsk Regulars was sent on a raid to nearby Barahona in what could be regarded as a pirate raid. It was marginally successful. Despite heavy losses, the Regulars returned with enough water to support Sorsk for another three months.[2]
