The Terran Alliance Civil War was a conflict that accured during the years of 2314-2316, between the Liberal and Expansionist Parties caused the Terran Alliance to collapse. The Liberals wished to let Terra's outer colonies fend for themselves, while the Expansionists wanted to continue having a say in colonial dealings.

[Aug 2314] Grant Zoli, leader of the People's Independence Party pledges to support Expansionists [1 Sept 2314] Zoli switches allegiance to Liberal Party [5 Sept 2314] Zoli is found dead in his New Zealand mansion. Soon after, the Independence Party covertly hires assassins to get rid of chosen targets in both parties

[30 Sept 2314] BATTLE OF ZURICH-Guards of Liberal leaders in Zurich storm Headquarters of Expansionist Party, killing all inside. Expansionists relatiate, killing several Liberals in car bombings and one by blowing up his house
