The Vela Nebula (not to be confused with the Vela Sheet) is a nebula located in the Deep Periphery, spinward of the Inner Sphere, directly in front of the expansive Gum Nebula.

System Description

The Vela Nebula was the name given to a nebula located spinward from the Draconis Combine, approximately 650 light years from Terra. The provided coordinates designate the nebula's center point.

The nebula slightly overlaps the region of space claimed by the JàrnFòlk.

Notes

The Vela Nebula was first identified in 2012 with the publication of Interstellar Players 3: Interstellar Expeditions. Other than the location of the nebula, and its definition as such, no information was provided on the feature; in the absence of further information on the Deep Periphery no further detail is likely to be available on the nebula.
