Colonel Victor Cartegena was the commander of the Valexa Capellan March Militia, with the Federated Suns, as of 3145.[1]

Cartegena, with the Valexa CMM, was based on Valexa as of 3145.[1] He was at this time the unit's acting CO, having taking over commanding following the death by friendly fire of the unit's former leader Leftenant General Allastair Beaverbrook, who had failed to properly deploy the Valexa CMM during a Capellan Confederation raid by the First Liao Dragoons as part of Operation CELESTIAL REWARD.[2]
