The Valexa system was home to at least one habitable world or construct, and as of June 3152 was located in the Kathil Operational Area of the Capellan March within the Federated Suns.[1]

Planetary History[edit]

Star League Era[edit]

During the time of the Star League Valexa was jointly administered by the Capellan Confederation and Terran Hegemony. After the Hegemony's collapse and the withdrawal of the Star League Defense Force, the Confederation openly annexed Valexa, a move ineffectually protested by the Federated Suns.[46]

Second Succession War[edit]

Falling easily to the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns with little resistance from the planet's militia, Valexa was among the worlds netted by the Federated Suns during Operation RAIN in 2829.[17][18]

Third Succession War[edit]

In 3005, elements of the Blackwind Lancers and Marion's Highlanders, based on Halloran, raided Valexa. This attack, as well as others, would trigger the Federated Suns to attack the Lancers and Highlanders base of operations on Halloran with Wolf's Dragoons.[47]

Jihad[edit]

Capellan Confederation forces struck Valexa on 10 December 3068 as a part of Operation THUNDERSTRIKE, the CCAF counteroffensive in response to Operation SOVEREIGN JUSTICE, Duke George Hasek's war against the Confederation.[48]

Dark Age[edit]

Valexa was attacked during Operation CELESTIAL REWARD by the First Liao Dragoons, one of several worlds targeted to disrupt AFFS garrisons. The defending Fourth Ceti Hussars and Valexa CMM should have been able to crush the Dragoons between them when the Capellans pushed between the two units. Instead the CMM's commander, falsely claiming that enemy artillery was positioned to ravage his unit had they moved, remained in position and left the Ceti Hussars to be hammered in a twelve-hour battle.[49][50][51]
