This article is about the Bloodname. For other uses, see Winston.

The Winston Bloodname was established by Khan Connor Rood of the Escorpión Imperio in 3099. The founding of the Winston Bloodname was prompted by the actions of a ristar named Richelle, who was serving as the executive officer of Hellion Galaxy when she learned that her sibko - one of the last to be decanted in the Clan Homeworlds - was one of those that used DNA from members of the famed Eridani Light Horse. Richelle used her position to lobby for the creation of Bloodnames to honor the Eridani Light Horse warriors, and Rood decided to allow the founding of a new Bloodname rather than put anyone through a Trial of Refusal that Richelle seemed certain to win.[1]
