Lieutenant Colonel Edward J. Lynnis was the acting Star League ambassador to the Clans on Strana Mechty from at least 3067 to 3070.[1][2][3]

Lynnis was part of the Second Star League mission to the Clans, remaining on Strana Mechty after the majority of the diplomatic staff had departed back to Columbus, following the collapse of the League and the cessation of support to its mission in the Clan Homeworlds. He did so despite receiving news of the Star League's dissolution by January 3068, on the basis that he had not received orders to leave his post.
He continued to attempt to send reports back to his superiors in the Inner Sphere, such as Colonel Andrew Redburn, including several recovered from the ruins on Columbus and other nearby HPG relays following its destruction by the Word of Blake.[1][2][4][5]
