Fa Zeng Li was the commander of the Capellan Confederation's invasion of Chesterton in 2828.[1]

Colonel Li, commanding the Seventh and Eighth Tikonov Lancers, was in charge of the Confederation's conquest of the Federated Suns world of Chesterton during the Second Succession War. Li's troops, along with several regiments of conventional troops, made landfall on Chesterton on 18 June 2828 after rapidly attaining orbital supremacy. Unfortunately, the defending Davion forces under General Jessica Bassner rallied quickly and put both the Seventh and Eighth Tikonov Lancers' landing zones under heavy pressure. While the Seventh Tikonov prevented its destruction at the hands of the Fourth Crucis Lancers by using chemical weapons to create a stalemate, the Eighth Tikonov was lured into a trap by the Third Deneb Light Cavalry and Chesterton Capellan March Militia that left it bruised and on the run. Combined with this complete loss of momentum, the word of Chancellor Ilsa Liao's death on Orbisonia put the final nail in the coffin for Li's invasion efforts. [1]
To add injury to insult, two Davion WarShips arrived in the Chesterton system as Li's forces made their retreat, killing a third of the survivors of the planetary fighting and destroying the Confederation's own naval assets.[1]
