Florence Elinwood Landers was the commanding officer of the Buena War College Training Battalion as of 3050.[2]

Kommandant Landers, serving with the Buena War College Training Battalion, was stationed on Buena in 3050 and remained there by 3062.[2][1] A veteran of both the Fourth Succession War and the War of 3039, Landers made great efforts to keep the Katherine–Victor political debate out of the Battalion. Landers believed that politics would undermine the College's efforts to get the best from its cadets by distracting them from the challenges intended to make them into well-founded and accomplished soldiers. Landers' superior officer supported this stance and used their influence in the Lyran Alliance Armed Forces to keep the Lyran Intelligence Corps off of Landers' back.[1]
After the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, Landers remained in command of the Buena Training Battalion, although she was unhappy with the newly-shortened three-month service term that cadets served before rotating out.[3]
