HDF Manufacturing is a Hanseatic League manufacturing facility and organization located on Falsterbo IV in the Deep Periphery.[1][2]
Overview[edit]
At the turn of the thirty-second century, the Hanseatic League's need to protect themselves against the Escorpión Imperio on the nation's doorstep became more urgent and the ruling Council of Merchants authorized the construction of the Lüneburg Vehicle Corporation on Braunschweig to produce BattleMechs and combat vehicles. Its success led to the establishment of HDF Manufacturing on Falsterbo.[2]
As new 'Mechs began appearing in the Hanseatic Defense Force, the Council decided to confirm suspicions that a new factory had been built on Braunschweig in order to preserve the secrecy of the Falsterbo installation.[3] Only the local population and the facility's security were aware of its existence. To that end, the defenders consisted of the planetary militia and HDF Manufacturing Corporate Security—outfitted with brand new 'Mechs from the factory—as well as some skilled mercenaries.[4]
