Lieutenant General Helmut La Rou was XO of the Star League Defense Force's VI Corps as of 2764.[1]
History[edit]
A native of the Lyran Commonwealth, and rising star within the SLDF, as of 2764 La Rou was basically performing the job of his disengaged commander Major General Aja Brynn. As at that stage Brynn's retirement was expected with 2 years, La Rou was already seeking to rebuild the Corps' command staff in his own image, as well as reaching out to various Star League academies in order to obtain the services of talented young officers. Another strategy employed by La Rou was setting up the Nineteenth Hussar Regiment as an advanced cadre unit, which he hoped to use to lift the capabilities of the Corps as a whole if he formally assumes command of the VI Corps.
This attempt to renew the Corps' senior officers was however a struggle, as the existing crop were long associates of Major General Brynn, yes-men also approaching the end of their careers.[1]
