Sergeant James McPhearson was a combat vehicle commander, with the Northwind Highlanders' First Kearny Highlanders, as of 2366.[1]

McPhearson participated in one of the First Kearny Highlanders' first engagements, after they were reformed in the twenty-fourth century, being the 2366 invasion of Free Worlds League world Lopez on behalf of the Capellan Confederation during the First Andurien War. Surprised by the defending Second Oriente Hussars' Manticores equipping the then new PPC, the Highlanders suffered heavy losses after their initial landing, leading the Highlanders to launch a deep raid on the Hussars supply depots in an attempt to even the score. Sergeant McPhearson participated in the raid by the First Company, First Battalion of the First Kearny with his Recon Lance commanded by Major Stephen McCloud, against elements of the Hussars' defending First Battalion. This raid was ultimately successful, and allowed the First Kearny to prevail, despite the superior equipment of their opponents.[1]
