Keane Sortek was the aide to the commanding officer of the Thirty-sixth Lyran Guards as of 3058.[1]

Colonel Sortek, serving with the Thirty-sixth Lyran Guards under Leutnant-General Peter Zambos, was stationed on Hesperus II in 3062. Keane was the nephew of Ardan Sortek and from an early age sought to follow in the footsteps of his illustrious and heroic uncle, joining the Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth in 3045. Keane's grasp of tactics and natural talents as a MechWarrior- combined with the sponsorship of his godfather, First Prince Hanse Davion- earned him a rapid series of promotions that ended with his posting as executive officer of an entire RCT at the age of thirty-three.[1]
