Duke Kendall Marik was the Free Worlds League's lead negotiator, in failed prisoner exchange talks with the Lyran Commonwealth, as of 2828.[1][2]

Duke Marik reportedly had a prior relationship with Grafina Rebecca Steiner-Nelson, his Lyran counterpart during the prisoner exchange talks, which led some to speculate that a lovers tiff was behind the break down in their talks. The talks failure was noted as one of the causes for the start of the Second Succession War.[1][2]
