Killian Pomeroy was an Atlas pilot on Solaris who grew tired of hearing Morton Hopeless' constant bragging about his abilities in a Stinger. Demanding that Hopeless "put up or shut up," he accepted the challenged fight, with Hopeless selecting the Jungle arena. Taking advantage of the close quarters and high temperatures Hopeless outmaneuvered the Atlas, finishing the match with a humiliating kick that snapped off the larger ’Mech's leg. At the conclusion of the fight Hopeless refused to take possession of the Atlas, claiming it to be an "inferior ’Mech."[1]
