Major General Matthew Gregg was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XLVII Corps from at least 2757 to 2764.[1]
History[edit]
An infantryman by background, Gregg commanded the 370th BattleMech Division, before being raised to lead XLVII Corps. Having received rudimentary MechWarrior training upon reaching Divisional command, Gregg had an appreciated for 'Mechs and combined arms operations, though none would consider him skilled with a BattleMech.
As a result of the resistance of Twentieth Army to its orders to withdraw for the Rim Worlds Republic, Gregg was subject to an SLDF JAG investigation during 2757 and 2758 due to suspicions he was attempting to organize a quiet mutiny. While cleared of all charges, the allegations remained on his service record.[1]
