Melissa Sayers Lucas was the mother of Jack Lucas.
History[edit]
Melissa Lucas married Bishop John Lucas, Jr. and together had six children on the Lyran Commonwealth world of Zaniah. They lived in a strict neo-Jesuit environment and her son Jack and his younger brother were being groomed for priesthood. Jack, however, preferred the regimented lifestyle of the Star League Defense Force, leaving home to attend the Combat College of New Earth and eventually becoming one of the most important generals of the Amaris Civil War. In his retirement, Jack would return to religion, spending nearly four decades as a parish priest.[1]
