Melvin Stone was the commanding officer of the Ninth Regulan Hussars as of 3050.[1]

Colonel Stone, serving with the Ninth Regulan Hussars, was stationed on McAffe in 3059 and remained there by 3067.[1][2] Stone replaced former Ninth Regulan commander Jo Lobietto at the end of 3050 and quickly proved to be an asset to the unit. Formerly an instructor at the Princefield Military Academy, Stone strove to build on the training that his troops had received during their basic induction into the FWLM. Combined with Stone's vigor and idealism, this treatment inspired the members of the Ninth Regulan and impressed upon them a purpose and desire to contribute to the future of the entire Free Worlds League.[1]
