Captain Mitchell Sims was a Star League Defense Force MechWarrior as of 2765.[1]

Sims was stationed on New Vandenberg in 2765, presumably as part of the LVI Corps[2], and thus was caught up in the New Vandenberg Uprising which attacked the SLDF garrison. In charge of one of the SLDF's isolated garrison posts on New Vandenberg, called Fort Belvoir, Sims and his small combined arms unit were besieged by a larger force of rebelling Taurians. A communication from Sims, later recorded in the documents of the Star League Regular Army, suggested he believed his whole position would shortly be overrun and his unit destroyed.[1]
