Lieutenant Paul Wellseley was the grandson of Patricia Wellseley and followed in her footstep to be a member of the St. Ives Armored Cavalry. He soon surpassed even her impressive combat record fighting against the Capellan Confederation and Magistracy of Canopus forces in the Capellan-St. Ives War from 3060 until 3063. Following the surrender of the St. Ives Compact Wellseley was incorporated into the Second St. Ives Lancers. Despite the surrender, Wellseley remained deeply suspicious of Capellan leadership noting that though Sun-Tzu Liao seems sane he had exhibited a disturbing indifference to civilian casualties.[1]
