Subcommander Rodney Piet was a member of the Rollis Home Guard in the early thirty-first century.[1]

Rodney Piet was an officer within the Rollis Home Guard who replaced Subcommander Barnston. With Barnston gone, Rodney began training his troops and pushing them as well as himself to become the best soldiers possible. This earned him the respect of his new command and made them strive for higher goals. This paid off in July 3027 when a Lance of BattleMechs from the Fifth Syrtis Fusiliers raided Rollis as part of a training exercise. Expecting a ragtag unorganized opponent, the Federated Suns forces were drawn into a running battle and finally driven off world despite the Home Guard suffering heavy losses.[1][2]
Rodney Piet was rewarded for his actions by a promotion to the St. Ives Armored Cavalry.[2]
