Re-vamp

I want to re-vamp the article, i need a little bit time, to bring it up to flow.--Doneve 18:21, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

This article currently feels a bit like a dumping ground for references to Rim Worlds units found throughout sourcebooks - it could do with being simplified, and with a lot of the content moved into the appropriate brigade/formation level articles. I wouldn't expect the Rim Worlds Army page to list every unit, just the major formations, with all the various regiments listed under those formation articles. I suspect there are some formations out there with basically no known detail though, like the Republican Light Lancers - although maybe the 2765 Field Report series will fix that. I don't know if this page was different 10 years ago, but it's still in need of revamping. It's one of my long-term goals to tackle this page, and if there's agreement I would start by splitting off the Amaris Empire/Amaris Civil War-related units onto a separate page and just linking it to the bottom of this one, as they are their own pandora's box. But before that it would help to create pages for all the missing units from the Reunification War onward, and once that's done I think restructuring this page will come slightly easier.
