Overview[edit]
Tau Galaxy was a short-lived military formation of Clan Jade Falcon.
History[edit]
Formed in 3147, Tau Galaxy's status as a new unit left its warriors with a burning need to prove their commitment to Khan Malvina Hazen and her Mongol Doctrine. The Galaxy's first - and, as it turned out, last - major action was during the Jade Falcon assault on Terra in 3151. Upon its arrival in early March, Khan Hazen ordered Tau Galaxy to seize Japan and destroy the Republic forces there.[2][1]
Rather than setting up secure landing zones, Tau's warriors simply combat dropped all over the main island of Honshu in a failed bid to swiftly crush and demoralize Japan's defenders. Instead they immediately ran into heavily fortified defenses, including two Castles Brian, and ferocious resistance from the RAF garrison. The latter was massively swollen in size by the local Japanese population, who matched the Falcons' ruthlessness with their own tenacity. Ultimately Tau Galaxy, although it inflicted heavy losses on its opponents, was annihilated.[3][1]
Khan Hazen reacted to the news of this defeat by ordering Tau Galaxy removed from her Clan's Rememberance and TO&E.[4][1]
