The Poisoned Talks: An Examination was a written work, authored by Dimitri Auburn and published by Commonwealth Historical Press, in 2830.[1]

This work provided an account of the breakdown of prisoner exchange talks between the Lyran Commonwealth and Free Worlds League in 2828, which contributed to the start of the Second Succession War. It canvassed theories as to why the talks, lead by Duke Kendall Marik and Graf Rebecca Steiner-Nelson broke down, including a suspected failed romance between the lead negotiators or an outside force who used BattleMech raids and assassination to disrupt the talks.[1]
