Major General Toboric Latiff was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XXIX Corps from at least 2758 to 2764.[1]

Born on Kluane in the Federated Suns, Latiff later attended the Combat College of New Earth, from which he graduated with honors in 2731. Taking command of XXIX Corps in 2758, as a morale building measure he allowed his troops to add copper colored kill markers to their units, to reflect the unit's unofficial nickname of the "Copper Corps".
Latiff had a laissez-faire attitude towards his divisional commanders, giving them a wide latitude in responding to events. This allowed a rapid response at a divisional level to changing circumstances, but also caused a lack of consistency in approach across the Corps.[1]
