True Word was a Leopard-class DropShip belonging to the Com Guards.
Operational History[edit]
The True Word was probably assigned to the Terran Defense Force, under the command of a pilot named Archer. On 28 February 3058, Precentor Lisa Koenigs-Cober, a commander in the Terran Security Force, was invited by the mercenary Twenty-first Centauri Lancers to participate in a series of exercises. Despite a massive winter storm crossing North America, Lisa accepted, traveling to the Lancers' base in Bowling Green aboard the True Word. It was a rough ride, as it was one the worst winter storms ever recorded. Before arriving, a wing of Lancers Transit aerospace fighters attacked and downed the DropShip. With no alternative, Archer opened the doors of the falling DropShip. Lisa ordered her lance to make a hot drop, for which they were already prepared.[1] Somehow, two of the jumping 'Mechs, those belonging to Stephen Crown and Precentor Koenigs-Cober, survived the landing, and they managed to save ComStar Primus, Sharilar Mori.[2] The True Word must have been crashed shortly after the 'Mechs jumped. It is unknown whether there were any survivors.[3]
