Yaros Regas was a member of Jake Kalmar’s band of pirates operating in the Lyran Commonwealth’s Deep Periphery and The Barrens.[1]
History[edit]
In early 3026, Jake Kalmar and Yaros Regas had been dragged into a conflict with the Oberon Confederation—one in which they were losing. Interstellar Expeditions had paid off Regas and his forces for protection against raids on their excavation sites and felt it necessary to provide assistance to them to prevent information regarding their involvement in the group from reaching the Confederation. Sebastian Spears contracted a mercenary unit to join them as new recruits to assist them in a series of resupply raids in Commonwealth space to better prepare themselves to stand up against the Confederation.[1]
Regas had the new recruits go through an initiation, raiding food and medical supplies on Somerset and weaponry on Winfield, then destroying the Steiner monitoring station on Icar so that the pirates could slip out undetected. Having made it back to Port Aliveri, Jake Kalmar's main storage facility in Star's End, Regas invited the recruits for a parlay in hopes of luring them into the group. On their way in, they were followed by an Oberon Confederation company led by Tyler Erickson. Having been offered additional combat bonuses, including Erickson's custom COR-PVT Corsair, the recruits helped Regas defeat the assaulting forces.[1]
With their base discovered, Kalmar reached out to Interstellar Expeditions for assistance in relocating their families before the Confederation could send a larger force to destroy them. IE agreed to help them establish a new operating base in exchange for their protection detail.[1]
