Description[edit]

A product of StarCorps Industries in the early thirty-second century, the Zibler Fast Strike Tank is a Hover-type OmniVehicle which has seen service throughout the Inner Sphere. It typically uses its balance of high speeds and respectable armor to engage enemies in flanking and supporting roles. Being an OmniVehicle, the Zibler is used in tandem with other similar combat vehicles or other Ziblers.[4]

Weapons and Equipment[edit]

Powering the Zibler is a 165-rated standard fusion engine, which gives it a breakneck speed for its tonnage. As an OmniVehicle, the Zibler can be fitted with up to 18 tons of weapons and equipment. The tank is protected by seven tons of Heavy Ferro-Fibrous Armor with a permanently fitted CASE system.

The Zibler's Primary Configuration is geared towards engaging the enemy close-in. Prominently, the Prime has four standard medium lasers and three 4-tubed Streak Short-Ranged Missiles found in its turret. Among other equipment fitted to the Vehicle is a Targeting Computer, two additional Heat Sinks, and a C3 slave computer.[5]

Alternate Configurations[edit]

  • Alternate Configuration A
Designed to engage enemies at long-ranges, the A Configuration sports four Light AC/2 Autocannons mounted in its turret. The autocannons have been given ninety rounds of ammunition drawn from a two-ton ammunition bay. BV(2.0)=664[6][7]
  • Alternate Configuration C
The C Configuration has a lightweight long-range fighting capacity, with a more powerful punch when it attacks at close ranges. Its long-ranged capacities come from a pair of 7-tubed Multi-Missile Launchers with two tons of ammunition. While entering short range, the launchers switch modes and combine their firepower with a single Snub-Nose PPC. The C's configuration also sports a C3 slave unit to help coordinate its attacks with other C3 Units. BV(2.0)=1,017[10][11]
  • Alternate Configuration D
Considered to be a heavy fire support unit, using the single Heavy PPC found in its turret. To aid the vehicle's ability to hit its target better, the configuration also has a C3 boosted slave unit. BV(2.0)=1,021[12][13]
