Nick would work with various bands on Tortuga for many years and engage in numerous raids, but would studiously avoid enslaving anybody, a frequent point of contention with [[Paula_Trevaline|Dame Trevaline]]. Surviving her intermittent assassination attempts, while never entering into open conflict, the relationship between Trevaline and Nick would eventually sour to the point he could serve her no longer.
