12th Lyran Regulars

The Twelfth Lyran Regulars was a military command in the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces.

History

In 2813, the planet Bella I was attacked by two commands from the Regulan Hussars. The 12th Regulars defended the world together with their sister regiment, the 14th Regulars. The LCAF units retreated off-world because they thought the FWLM task force had twice as much strength. When the officer realized it was only a trick, it was too late. Marik reinforcements fortified the planet further. 36 months later the LIC discovered that the garrison had changed as a result of internal conflicts in the Free Worlds League. The 12th Regulars and the 14th Regulars were send to recapture the world. Under a new commanding officer, the Marik forces retreated after 21 days of trench warfare.

The FLWM returned once more when the commander of the Lyran Regulars changed. Because the Lyrans lacked sufficient air cover, the Steiner units left the world after nine months of fighting.

Officers

The commanding officer in 2817 was Colonel Hempsted.
