Unit Description
A dedicated Federated Suns tank regiment, used to support BattleMech regimental formations for offensive and defensive actions.
History
Third Succession War
During the Third Succession War, First Prince Andrew Davion directed a series of counter-attacks against raids from Great Houses. This due to recent defeated mutinies of MechWarriors. One such raid was against the Federated Suns' world of Rio.[1]
The regiment was attached to the 15th Avalon Hussars in 2982 as part of the military offensive against invading Capellan forces on Rio.[2] The unit was involved in heavy fighting against Liao forces, and was victorious in repelling them from the world.
Future Draconis March Lord, Aaron Sandoval, served the 159th under assumed name as a Master Sergeant. His heroic action were televised to the nation, a result of him sacrificing his tank to save another.[3]
