1st Capellan Dragoons

History

The 1st Capella Dragoons originated from the guards of the Duke of Kathil during the Second Succession War (2830 - 2864).

In 3009 the regiment was sold to the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns under the condition, that the respective Duke of Kathil could buy it back anytime.

In 3061 political turmoil was happening on Kathil, as the official military chain of command collided with orders issued directly by Katherine Steiner-Davion. The 8th FedCom RCT stayed on Kathil with the excuse, that the other defenders were too inexperienced. So, Duke Petyr VanLee called the 1st Capella Dragoons to counter that argument. The 8th FedCom RCT didn't dare to disobey direct orders and some of it's career-hungry officers opened direct war with the Kathil CMM. Under heavy losses, the Kathil CMM managed to secure a safe landing for the 1st Capella Dragoons, which wiped out the 8th FedCom as a revenge.

As the fighting on Kathil dragged on until the end of the FedCom Civil War, the 1st Capella Dragoons were possibly destroyed.

• 1 Tank-Battallion (mainly heavy hover-tanks)
