The Two Hundred and Forty-Sixth Royal BattleMech Division or the Saffel Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. As one of the SLDF Royal units the Saffel Division recruited from Terran Hegemony worlds exclusively.[1]
Contents
History
The 246th formed a part of LVIII Corps, Seventh Army, and in 2764 was stationed in District 3 of the Capellan Confederation Military Region. Following the New Vandenberg Uprising and subsequent Periphery uprising the 246th was deployed along with the rest of LVIII Corps into an undisclosed area of the Periphery, where the division was destroyed.[1]
Composition
As an SLDF BattleMech division the 246th would have been formed from two brigades of BattleMech regiments and a brigade of mechanized infantry regiments.[2]
