Overview
The Three Hundred Twenty-second BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
The 322nd Division was based around a multinational defense force that protected Terra's Antarctic continent during the Western Alliance's conflict with the Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. The unit was assigned to guard the mining and scientific installations on the continent, but never saw any action. In the last days of the Terran Alliance the unit was sent offworld. This unit became the core of the 322nd. This division was home to most of the inhabitants of the Antarctic continent who chose to join the SLDF.[1]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the LXI Corps, Twelfth Army, to District 2 of the Lyran Commonwealth Military Region, but was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery.[2] The 322nd was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[2]
Composition
As an SLDF BattleMech division the 322nd would have been formed from two Brigades of BattleMech regiments and a brigade of Mechanized Infantry regiments.[3]
