According to the (apocryphal) novel Die Albatros-Akte, all military installations in the Inner Sphere (as of 2838) employ a "Terra-norm-time" schedule where a planetary day is divided into 24 hours while the length of one hour is variable from planet to planet to account for local differences. The local time on Adelaide has 89 standard minutes per hour, said to be the longest in the entire Lyran Commonwealth at the time.[2]
