Personal Appearance[edit]
Kozaka was tall, dark-skinned, with gray hair and brown eyes. He also preferred wearing long leather coats and mirrored sunglasses.[1]
History[edit]
Demotion[edit]
A habit of collecting knives and swords of every kind, together with being an intimidating presence, earned Kozaka the nickname "The Edge". He did however have a conscience, a rarity within Bannson Raiders, which left his career with them as of 3133 on borrowed time. Refusing to kill a man in cold blood under orders from The Scourge's commander, Kozaka was stripped of his MechWarrior status, and sent to the logistical vehicle section as a punishment. Kozaka however didn't seem to mind the assignment, piloting his transport vehicle with the speed and carelessness of a teenager out for a joyride.[1]
Tybalt[edit]
In June 3136, Kozaka was still serving as a transport vehicle driver with The Scourge on Tybalt, kept on by unit XO Stephen Wallace despite his roguish nature. This earned a level of loyalty from Kozaka towards Wallace, though he was less favorable to the unit's CO Hadrian Roth. While on Tybalt Kozaka performed duties such as delivering orders, which he did to Captain Gerhardt Stahl on 16 June while he was on the Joshua Martin Proving Grounds, in relation to a new objective raid Stahl was to carry out.[2]
In August 3136, when Stephen Wallace led a mutiny against Jacob Bannson, Kozaka assisted the plotters successfully wrest control of The Scourge. This included stealing Bannson's personal Cygnus BattleMech, which he took with him as the Wallace led Scourge to become an independent Mercenary unit.[3]
Vehicle[edit]
Kozaka was known to have piloted a J-37 Ordnance Transport, serial number CC0157-11D, which was initially from the Capellan Confederation before coming to the Raiders.[1] He later also piloted a Cygnus BattleMech, which he stole from Jacob Bannson.[3]
