In May 3000 the Federated Suns launched a recon-in-force against Crossings and Benet III. Upon landing on Crossings McKinnon's Company would find that the world was almost undefended. Taking advantage of this unexpected situation the rest of the Seventh Crucis Lancers quickly moved to capture Crossings.
