The Bell Refit Yards primarily existed to refit Clint BattleMechs.
Overview
Constructed in the mid-3050s to refit old Clints into the CLNT-2-3U variant, the new Bell Refit Yards was built on top of the original Andoran Industries factory complex.
During the Jihad Bell Refit Yards expanded production to include the Firebee Primitive BattleMech to provide much-needed weapons to the AFFS.[1] Approximately 20% of their production lines were damaged during the Jihad; By 3079 their output was 80% of the theoretical maximum.[2]
