During the Word of Blake invasion he fought alone for most of the time. His best known action was fighting alone against three mechs (a Blue Flame, a Lightray and a Gurkha). With skill and guts he crippled the Gurkha and destroyed the Blue Flame, though his 'Mech was severely damaged with a left arm blown off and ending also without autocannon ammunition.
